Privacy Policy

We collect the minimum needed to run ContentLynx:

• Account information — your name and email address when you sign up.
• Signup source — how you reached us (a campaign tag in the link, the page that referred you, or “direct” if neither), so we can understand which channels bring creators who stay.
• Production data — the video titles, scripts, notes, checklists, and ideas you create inside ContentLynx.
• Usage data — basic information about which features you use and how often, including when you were last active, so we can improve the product.
• Payment information — handled entirely by Lemon Squeezy. We never see or store your credit card details.

• To run your account and provide the ContentLynx service.
• To send you important account emails (receipts, password resets).
• To improve the product based on how it's being used.

We do not use your data for advertising. We do not sell your data. Ever.

ContentLynx uses minimal cookies required to keep you logged in and remember your preferences. We do not use third-party advertising cookies or tracking pixels. We may use basic anonymous analytics to understand how the product is being used — this data is never tied to your identity.

ContentLynx uses Anthropic's Claude API to power the Editorial Assistant and Concept Lab. When you use these features, the relevant content (your script or video idea) is sent to Anthropic's API for processing.

• Anthropic does not use your content to train their AI models.
• Your content is processed and returned — it is not stored by Anthropic beyond the API call.
• You can choose not to use AI features at any time. They are optional.

We work with a small number of trusted services to run ContentLynx:

• Supabase — our database and authentication provider. Your data is stored securely in their infrastructure.
• Lemon Squeezy — our payment processor. They handle all billing and subscription management.
• Anthropic — our AI provider. Only used when you actively use AI features.
• Vercel — our hosting provider. They serve the ContentLynx application.

We do not share your data with anyone else.

If you choose to connect your YouTube channel, ContentLynx uses YouTube API Services to power its analytics features. By connecting, you also agree to the YouTube Terms of Service. Google's handling of your data is described in the Google Privacy Policy.

• What we access — read-only data about your own channel: your channel identity, your videos' statistics, and aggregate analytics (views, watch time, retention, subscribers). We also read public channel and video data for the competitor features. We never modify anything on your YouTube account and never request write access.
• What we store — encrypted OAuth tokens (so you don't have to reconnect), and daily snapshots of your video and channel analytics to show trends over time. We do not store your viewers' personal data.
• How it's used — solely to display your analytics and competitor insights to you inside ContentLynx. ContentLynx's use of information received from Google APIs adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements. We never sell this data, never use it for advertising, and never share it with third parties.
• Revoking access — disconnect your channel any time in Settings → Channels, or revoke ContentLynx's access directly in your Google security settings. Stored analytics snapshots are deleted with your account (see Data retention).

You have full control over your data:

• Access — you can see all your data inside ContentLynx at any time.
• Export — contact us and we will provide a copy of your data.
• Delete — you can delete your account at any time from Settings → Account. This permanently deletes all your data within 30 days.
• EU users — you have additional rights under GDPR including the right to object to processing and the right to data portability. Email support@contentlynx.app to exercise these rights.
• California users — you have rights under CCPA including the right to know what data we collect and the right to opt out of data sales. We don't sell data, but you have this right.

Your data is encrypted at rest and in transit. We use Supabase's row-level security to ensure your data is isolated from other users — no one can access your production notes, scripts, or ideas, even accidentally. See our Security page for more detail.

We keep your data for as long as your account is active. If you cancel your subscription, your account remains accessible until the end of your billing period. If you delete your account, your data is permanently deleted within 30 days.

If you join our pre-launch waitlist, we collect only what we need to email you:

• Email address — so we can reach you.
• Signup source — which page you joined from, so we know what's working.
• Consent timestamp — the date and time you agreed to receive updates.

We use this only to send ContentLynx launch updates — nothing else, no ads, no selling. You can unsubscribe at any time via the link in any email or by emailing support@contentlynx.app.
